A woman is a valuable member of society. She is capable, resilient, determined, strong, selfless, and loving.

Women long ago fought very hard for the right of so many things including her right to work. Over generations, women continuously battled against discrimination and equality. Slowly, day by day, women are now being recognized. Women are now empowered.

Women empowerment is an essential tool in having a peaceful and a happier community. When women are empowered, they can reach their full potential, speak for their rights, decide for themselves, and advocate for their families and communities.

​

Women are essential members of the workforce. They are competent and hardworking employees, and can effectively manage work, family, and work-life balance.

​

Last March, CPFI Sardines also celebrated International Women’s Month. To give tribute to the extraordinary roles and significant contributions of our women in the workforce, we invited two (2) massage therapists from TESDA for free massage sessions. The gesture gave our women workers a feeling of deep relaxation and calm, heightened mental alertness, and reduced stress hormones.

Women from various departments participated in the said activity and left the venue with a smile on their faces, with feelings of ease and comfort.

         “Great experience for me. Knowing na we don't have time to relax kasi busy sa work, kahit small period of time nakapag relax kami. And thank you for the initiative to organize a little activity for us. Well appreciated.”- Chrisa Shiela Cardenas (Logistics)

 

The activity not only touched the physical body but it also strengthened their feelings of belongingness and self-worth. It made every woman in the workplace remember that every single person is important and that all their contributions in the workplace are valued.
